Environmental Education and Awareness

The students have no access to any environmental education and the teachers have no background with environmental issues yet and awareness of these issues is necessary for a knowledgeable and engaged civil society.

In order to achieve the objectives, we will create a mobile educational program.

The main objective of our mobile environmental education program is to raise awareness on environmental and biodiversity conservation to students, teachers and the parents in schools and villages in surrounding of protected areas.

The mobile education program will consist of already prepared educational materials such as photographs, maps, charts, written and typed explanatory sheets, cartoons, educational pamphlets and posters. These materials will be mounted on the panels that can be set up and taken down easily at each school. Two or three experienced environmental educators will spend approximately 1 to 2 days per school, conducting sessions with individual classes and distributing booklets and posters at primary, middle and high schools.

We will measure the completion of our objectives by the number of schools we visited, the number of students and teachers who participated in the programs, amount of published materials successfully distributed to teachers.
